I am a Tenured Teaching Personnel (Greek Language) at the Language Centre of Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), Coordinator of the Learning Development Network (LDN) of CUT and co-director of  the Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of CUT. I  hold a BA in Classical Studies from the University of Cyprus, an MA in Pedagogical Sciences from the same University and a PhD from CUT. In my PhD dissertation I focused on the potential of social technologies as instructional tools that support social construction of an artifact by a group of language learners. My work is situated at the intersection of  technologies, language learning and social change.


[Research Interests] ​

My general research interests are on technology, language learning and social change with a focus on the study of digital artifacts from a social and humanistic perspective. More specifically my research interests are on the topics of:
- Digital media for equality and social inclusion 
- Digital pedagogies in the Humanities
- Community-driven design of digital media

​- Constructionist learning via digital media
- Computer-Assisted Language Learning
- Emerging technologies for supporting collaboration in online communities
- Cultural differences in the use of online social communities or digital spaces ​

​[Research Projects’ Involvement] 

I have participated in over 15 international and European-funded research projects, with total funding exceeding €10M. As a coordinator (FeSTEM, WomenPower), CUT principal investigator (ARIDLL, FemPower, DRFLEMP), and team member (NOTRE, DC4LT, DETEL, LUCIDE), I have contributed to research work that supports  innovative digital learning, and inclusive teaching practices.
